The Beginnings of Rome
1. Roman history started when the Etruscan
kings were conquered in 509 B.C.E, but
legend has it start at 753 B.C.E with

The Founding of Rome
1.
Romulus and Remus were relatives of

Romulus killed his brother and started the cities
boundaries around Palatine Hill.
2. The Etruscans and the Romans fought back
and forth, but eventually the Romans took them
over and created a new government, a republic.
