Biology Cell Project
(Poster/Collage of Analogies relating to cellular organelles)
Name ___________________________
Your project must include
1.
Organelles represented. You must include the nucleus, cell membrane, mitochondria, ribosomes, and both types of ER (smooth and rough). Plus- four additional organelles of your choice for a total of 10 organelles. (10 points)
2.
Each organelle must be represented visually (cell membrane= jail cell (picture of jail cell or cell membrane) (10 points)
3.
Accuracy in analogies (does each part of the cell match a good example?) ( 10 points)
2.
3.
4.
Written explanation of each cell part and its analogy (what is the connection between your example and the true function of the cell organelle) For example: Mitochondria are like a power plant in that power plants convert energy into useable electricity whereas mitochondria convert energy into a useable form for cells. (10 points)
5.
Neatness/Organization of Poster (is the poster neatly arranged, easy to read/understand, writing is clear, poster is free of rips, glue, extra markings.) (5 pts)
Enrichment will be given for highly creative or artistic posters!
