Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the American symbol. Poultry Birds (such as chickens and ducks) that are raised on farms for their eggs or meat. Soil The upper layer of earth that may be dug or plowed and in which plants grow (Definitions would all be in Spanish for clarity.) Once the soil is plowed, the seeds can be planted. Tractor A 4-wheeled or track-laying automotive vehicle used especially for drawing farm equipment (Definitions would all be in Spanish for clarity.) Before the seeds for the crop is planted, the tractor must plow the soil. Grain The seeds of plants (such as wheat, corn, and rice) that are used for food.
