Web Content Quality Plan o Accreditation in November of 2016 o Every 6 months a report will go out stating that the owner of a site will be required to update their website.
 Every webpage that is published, not just a website
 Every webpage in Ingeniux all others on different servers will need to be selfaccounted for.

Siteimprove - New Web Service Software o Crawler checking for accessibility issues, broken link and misspellings o Site owners will be getting reports of errors on their sites o Drupal has a lot of features that Siteimprove already has.

IT Accessibility o Sub-Committee of ADA Task Force Plans
 Closed captioning


Anything that is being put out (basketball games, commencement, faculty videos, etc) has to be closed captioned.

Message will be sent to all faculty of what they need to do to get the material accessible. o Department ADA Needs?
 SPA – there is a lack of interest and faculty can be “traditional” in the means of experience and change is hard.
 Engineering – hard to obtain central control.

Campus Internet Backup Link o Getting confirmation from FRGP that the new campus backup link is live. o If confirmation is received, a cutover test will be done tonight, December 2, 2015.
(The test was not performed because the link has not be configured.)
 CDOT will be cutting our primary line within the next two weeks. Test will be done to ensure there are no issues.


Data Center Generator o Plans are moving forward for the Data Center Generator, which will be installed next to the Engineering generator o Will be complete by end of break

New Data Center Network o Currently purchasing new infrastructure.
 Beginning of refresh from seven years.
 Assist in building servers faster o Long term, services will be shared between campuses. This will allow CU as a whole to never go down. o Currently looking at backup solution for all campus computers, for all files and software.
 OneDrive and Campus drives are not being used.
 Retention policy will be created

A/V upgrade in Columbine 317 o Day after semester ends, COH 317 will be taken off line. o Will be a full screening room with 7.1 surround sound, upgraded projector and digital pathways.

A/V Infrastructure upgrades in Columbine 3rd floor o Upgrades will be completed by end of Summer 2016. o All floors of COH are being looked at, however, it will be done one floor at a time.

Lan School Software for Computer Labs o Currently being installed in the new Math lab o Control software so that the instructor can take over individual computers. o IT is considering adding it into all smart classrooms o COB is currently running it in both of their labs
 No management issues
 Good reviews

Read and Write Gold Software for Computer Labs o Investigating pricing options to place this in labs o This software is interactive.
 Reads and provides explanations/definitions
 Helps students write

Windows 10 for Campus and Computer Labs o 10 has a lot of security enhancements and functionalities that 8 does not o Faculty, staff and labs will all be upgraded o Office 2016 would also be installed at the same time
 This is currently available for download for anyone o Fall 2016 rollout was agreed upon by all parties and testing may begin
