Kelly Prange, CVT Attends ASPCA Conference
Kelly Prange, CVT attended the ASPCA Toxicology Conference for Veterinary Technicians on June
22, 2013, which was held in
Champaign, IL. Kelly was
interested to learn the most
common toxins currently affecting pets, while obtaining
her needed continuing education hours.
Kelly says there are many poisons, such as toxic chemicals, dangerous plants, as well as products and substances
found in our everyday surroundings that are a concern for pets.
She recommends having a Poison Safety Kit readily available
in case of emergencies. If you have an immediate poisoning
concern, she recommends that you contact the ASPCA Animal
Poison Control Center at 888-426-4435.
Kelly, a Certified Veterinary Technician, graduated from
Parkland College in June 1999. She has been employed by
Veterinary Services, Ltd. in Breese since graduation. If you
have any questions for Kelly, such as how to develop a safety
kit or about a specific toxin, Kelly can be contacted at Veterinary Services, Ltd. at 618-526-7851 or you can view their website at www.vetservicesbreese.com.
