the average amount of growth
shown in my classes throughout
the last two quarters. Growth is
compared from the initial
progress assessment to the most
recent progress assessment.
10%-Time on Task
o Homework/classwork grade each week
 Between class time and time spent logged
in at home you will be expected to be
working on ALEKS for a total of 180
minutes.
 I will be checking your topics attempted
and mastered in order to create small
groups for a mini lesson during the week.
 Your weekly grade will be out of 180
minutes.
 If you work more than 180 minutes you
will receive up to 10 extra credit points.
 I will be checking the number of minutes
on Sunday. The students have from
Monday to Sunday to get 180 minutes
done. 90 minutes of the 180 should be
done at school.
20% Small Group Constructed Response
 I will assess your completion, accuracy, analysis, and understanding of the weekly constructed
activities. It is based on a 12 point rubric.

20% Quizzes
Quizzes will be given out every two weeks on
ALEKS. This will be based on topics that 100%
of the class has mastered. Students will have
two attempts at the quiz and I take the higher
grade. The review topics are on ALEKS for the
students to work on. There are always review
topics for the students. (I generally give the
students two weeks to take the quiz. I tell the
students when there is a quiz available and
when it is due.)
Assessments will be given out
monthly. It will still be found under
the quiz tab for the students. The
topics for the assessments are done
individually based on what the
student has mastered.
