End of Term Grading Checklist Lake View Grades 9 -12 Year Long Classes

Please initial if
completed.
Verify that term weights for each class taught this reporting period
are correct. Y1 = Term Weights
S1 = 40%, S2 = 40%, and E1 = 20%
Make sure S1 & S2 have been expanded (will show 20% for each
quarter and E1) at bottom of split screen.
Verify that Total points are selected for S1 and S2.
Verify grades entered are on the correct Reporting Term – see
Assignment Due Dates Chart
Verify that calculations for category weights for current grading
period are correct for each class taught this reporting period. (Ex. –
Tests, Quizzes, Homework, etc. must add up to 100%). Remember:
No category weight over 30%, use at least 4 categories, and enter
at least 4 grades for each category. **(Principal approval
required for any changes here.)
No average below 60 will be given for the first grading period for
each semester course. This restriction does not apply to ½ unit
(nine-weeks) courses. No average above 100 will be given for any
grading period.
Highest grade allowed is 100; any grade over 100 must be changed to
100.
All grades need to be set to 0 decimal places; rounded. (ToolsPreferences)
Verify comments appear on the correct Reporting Term. Comments
may be sorted by Code or Category by clicking on the little arrow
beside each.
Final Grades Complete – click the Scoresheet Tab across the top of
the page and click the Reporting Term (Q1, Q2, Q3, etc.) In Progress.
Check the box; it will turn green to indicate Grades Complete.
Grade verification sheets will be issued after the grades have been stored by Technology.
Once grades have been verified and corrections have been made in your gradebook and in
PowerSchool historical grades, report cards will be printed. If changes occur after report
cards are printed, necessary changes will be made by the teacher and the guidance
department.
