What Have the Teachers Been Doing to Get Our Children Ready?
Worthington Schools has been transitioning to the New Ohio Standards for the last three years with full
implementation this school year. District Administrators, Principals, Teacher Leaders and Instructional Coaches
have been working with ALL teachers to ensure that the level of rigor in the classroom matches that of the new
assessments. The new Worthington Graded Courses of Study can be found on the district website or click on
this link – 2013 Graded Courses of Study (scroll down the page).
The State Assessments will be conducted online using the District Chromebooks. This will provide us
feedback in a timely manner in future years. Classroom teachers have embedded more use of technology in
classroom instruction in order to provide authentic practice for their students. For more information on
curriculum, instruction and assessment please visit our Parent Resource webpage (Academic Achievement Parent Resources).
