Roma bullocks make 295c/kg
A total yarding of 320 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on
Thursday.
Steers over 550kg sold to 295c/kg and averaged 283c/kg, while steers in the 400550kg earned to 288c/kg and averaged 258c/kg.
Heifers over 450kg sold to 276c/kg and averaged 270c/kg, while heifers in the 350450kg sold to 276c/kg and averaged 230c/kg.
S & R White Family Trust, Tarrebar, Roma, sold Angus-cross heifers to 275c/kg for
456kg to return $1256/head.
Cows over 500kg peaked at 275c/kg and averaged 262c/kg, while cows in the 400500kg class topped at 268c/kg and averaged 231c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold to
233c/kg and averaged 198c/kg.
P Little, Cracrin, Hughenden, sold Brahman cows to 275c for 535kg to return $1472.
Noogilla Cattle Co, Woodlands, Mitchell, sold Droughtmaster cows to 271c for 501kg
to return $1359.
South West Cattle, Gowrie, Charleville, sold Simmental cows to 266c for 655kg to
return $1743.
S & H Wilkin, Everbroke, Roma, sold Charolais cows to 261c for 603kg to return
$1577.
Paterson Partnership, Warrong, Mitchell, sold Brahman cows to 260c for 477kg to
return $1240.
M & L Gosper, The Glen, Condamine, sold Droughtmaster-cross cows to 258c for
515kg to return $1329.
Bulls over 600kg topped at 300c/kg and averaged 262c/kg.
