Roma heavy bulls make 141c/kg
A total yarding of 652 head of cattle were penned at Roma’s Prime Sale on
Thursday.
Steers over 550kg sold to 155c/kg and averaged 138c/kg, while steers in the 400550kg earned to 141c/kg and averaged 136c/kg.
Frantek, Tony’s, Wallumbilla, sold Charolais-cross steers to 150c/kg for 598kg to
return $897/head.
Heifers over 450kg sold to 136c/kg and averaged 122c/kg, while heifers in the 350450kg sold to 120c/kg and averaged 102c/kg.
Fine Man, The Pines, Wallumbilla, sold Charolais-cross heifers to 121c for 513kg to
return $622.
Cows over 500kg peaked at 125c/kg and averaged 109c/kg, while cows in the 400500kg class topped at 134c/kg and averaged 95c/kg. Cows 300-400kg sold to
96c/kg and averaged 77c/kg.
Kindee Pastoral Co, Cowangah, Taroom, sold Charolais cows to 121c for 642kg to
return $778.
G & L Proud, Woodstock, Roma, sold Charolais-cross cows to 120c for 602kg to
return $724.
Milton Houston, Lorelle Downs, Yuleba, sold Charolais-cross cows to 119c for 538kg
to return $641.
Golden Pastoral Holdings, Nullin, Yuleba, sold Charbray cows to 118c for 648kg to
return $765.
J, M, & T Gallagher, Dunwaiten, Surat, sold Droughtmaster cows to 118c for 597kg
to return $704.
P & I Miller, Kooringa Downs, Roma, sold Droughtmaster-cross cows to 113c for
559kg to return $633.
Bulls over 600kg topped at 141c/kg and averaged 116c/kg.
