Transferring Mom to ICU
Once the decision to transfer a mom to ICU has been made, the following will need to be charted in
PowerChart Maternity.
1. Complete all required charting in PowerChart Maternity.
a. If mom is delivered, Complete Delivery Documentation on mother’s chart:
i. Labor/Delivery Information
ii. Newborn Delivery Data
b. If mom is delivered, complete Result Copy
2. From toolbar click Result Copy.

Click Result Copy button.


Verify correct baby info displays in the ‘copy to’ section.


Screen displays all results that are to be copied.
Click Copy Data button.
Click Next
Do not touch
checkmarks.
IPOC
Discontinue all IPOC’s for mom.

Go to Orders
Click Interdisciplinary folder, right click desired IPOC.
Click Discontinue
Click OK
Click Sign

1. Remind provider to discontinue Orders.
2. Print and have provider complete the Admission/Transfer Medication Reconcilation worksheet
5. Complete Handoff communication document.
6. Transfer patient/patients.
