Vegetable Stir Fry with Noodles
Learning Intentions
• To carry out a healthy cooking method to
prepare a healthy meal.
• To look at how we can get more portions of
fruit and vegetables into our diet.
Ingredients
• 1 x 5ml spoon soy sauce
• 1 x 10 ml spoon cornflour
• 45 mls water

1 piece of red pepper
1 piece of yellow pepper
1 piece courgette
1 piece of carrot
½ small onion, sliced
Few mushrooms
2 x 15ml spoon oil
• 2 layers of noodles

Ingredients
Vegetable Stir Fry – Step One
• Carrot - thin batons
• Pepper – sliced
• Courgette – sliced, then
quartered
• Onion - sliced
• In a small bowl, mix
together 10ml of
cornflour, 5ml of soy
sauce and 45mls of
water.

Vegetable Stir Fry - Step Two
•
Fill a large pan ¾ full with
water, bring to the boil.
•
Add 2 layers of noodles to
the pan when water is boiling
and cook for 4 minutes.

Vegetable Stir Fry – Step Three
•
Measure the oil into a
frying pan. Test with
a piece of onion.
•
Once the oil is hot,
add all of the
vegetables.

Vegetable Stir Fry – Step Four
•
Add the cornflour mixture
to the vegetables and
cook for a further 2
minutes.
•
Then add the noodles to
the vegetables and mix
well.
•
The stir fry is ready to be
served.
