Final Project
The Problem
People believe shelter pets have
many negatives compared to
pets from pet stores and
breeders.
Breaking up the Problem
Mind Map & Brainstorm
•People: Social creatures, that desire companions. Can be
Selfish or sympathetic. Having biases against many things,
including shelter animals
•Believe: Reality vs Dream. What some people believe
may not always be truth.
•Shelter: Many negative connotations, such as lonely,
abandoned, & behavour/medical issues.
•Pets: A companion and responsibility, not like an item to
own in comparison to other consumer objects like
electronics.
Mind Map & Brainstorm
• Negatives: In our sentence this is an important
word because that’s how we feel other people
see shelter animals. In a negative way.
• Compared: The main white space we are trying
to cover is the inaccurate comparison between
shelter animals and pet store/bred pets.
• Pet stores: Selling pets for profit, like a
product. Compared to shelters, which save pets
and are non-profit.
• Breeders: Also using animals to make more
animals to make money. Can be inhumane in
situations like puppy mills.
