Our math starter today was to determine the
number before and after a given number. We
greeted our friends, sang ‘Grand Old Flag’, said
our class promise and did calendar. We counted
to 100 by ones and read our popcorn words. We
did our ABC charts with digraphs. We reviewed
the habits of thinkers. We learned our new
popcorn word ‘said’ and did rainbow writing of it.
We read Arthur’s Chicken Pox by Marc Brown.
We did literacy workshop. We were introduced to
our poem of the week ‘3D Shapes’ and saw
examples of those shapes. We read Cubes,
Cones, Cylinders and Spheres. We figured out
our mystery number. We focused on medial
(middle) sounds in words. We graphed whether
we gave a valentine to our mom. We read Me
and My Amazing Body and did a Time for Kids –
Take Care of Yourself.
. No School President’s Day Wednesday
