EdTech 2015 Sponsorship and Exhibition Opportunities
Beyond the Horizon: Policy, Practice and Possibilities
University of Limerick, 28-29 May 2015
Dear Commercial Colleagues
We invite you to partner the Irish Learning Technology Association to provide a high-quality
interactive EdTech2015 conference in the University of Limerick (UL) on May 28-29 2015.
We welcome the ongoing support of our previous commercial partners and welcome new vendors in
presenting Ireland’s seminal technology-enhanced learning conference.
Why Attend EdTech2015?
The Horizon Report for Higher Education in Ireland will be launched at EdTech2015 by New Media
Consortium CEO Prof. Larry Johnson and Director of Special Projects Alex Freeman who will be
conference keynotes. . Horizon Reports are downloaded 5m times per year, and offer a significant
international comparative analysis contribution both to this theme, and to wider policy making.
We are delighted that Dr. Jim Devine, author of the Strategic and Leadership Perspectives on Digital
Capacity in Irish Higher Education Report will present a keynote address at the conference; and will
facilitate an international Experts Panel featuring industry, education, and state agency contributors.
This Report was commissioned on behalf of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching
and Learning in Higher Education; Ireland’s funding body for teaching and learning in HE.
We are pleased that HEAnet Contracts Manager, Garvan McFeeley will attend EdTech2015. With
institutional clustering and mergers on the horizon, the TEL landscape is moving towards national
framework agreements facilitated by the HEAnet. It has recently published a Video Services
Support Framework, building on the 2014 VLE and Support Services Framework with future
potential supplier frameworks being considered on behalf of the Irish HE sector (e.g. video and
ePortfolio solutions).
The EdTech conference is recognised as the most important higher education gathering point for
policy makers, TEL Managers and practitioners in the academic calendar and attracts approximately
230 national and international delegates each year with a similar live online audience.
Originating in 1998, EdTech is Ireland’s longest running eLearning conference. Recent cessation of
government-funded higher education eLearning conferences has further enhanced EdTech’s role as
the must-attend seminal conference on the Irish landscape.
We welcome the ongoing support of our previous commercial partners and invite new vendors in
presenting Ireland’s seminal technology-enhanced learning conference.

EdTech2015 Sponsor and Exhibitor Opportunities
Sponsor/Exhibitor Central Location
The exhibition area for EdTech2015 is located directly outside the three presentation rooms,
and adjacent to the registration desk, that will be used at the conference. This airy and
pleasant location is also a general thoroughfare for UL building staff and students thereby
maximising potential footfall for exhibitors. Tea/coffee and refreshments will be served in
this area for direct access and networking opportunities.
Sponsor/ Exhibitor Participation Conference Session: The ‘Elevator Pitch’
We value the exhibitor input into the design and delivery of our conference. As part of this
aim we have incorporated a popular 30 minute session titled ‘The Elevator Pitch’ where all
sponsors/exhibitor will be allocated 2 minutes to ‘pitch your wares’ to a captive audience
(as well as promoting any spot prizes, invitation to test or trial your products etc.).
The Elevator Pitch session is scheduled as the second presentation slot on the first day of
the EdTech conference. This is strategically scheduled directly after the opening keynote
address, which traditionally attracts the highest delegate attendance.
