Explain any misdeeds using the voice of your selected
mythological god. Be creative.
Just like in the presidential election, promises are
made to persuade the audience to vote for the
candidate. Use your god’s divine powers to make plans
for the future. (Hades might promise to turn the
thermostat down a little so that it is a more
comfortable eternity in the underworld).

Audience- a group of mortals
Purpose- to convince them to vote for your
selected Greek god as the “Mythological Idol”
Remember- you are emphasizing voice so show
your personality.
Use OREO to develop your speech:

Opinion
Opinion: I, Ares, god of violence and warfare,
am the best god of all!
Reasons: Since I frequently control the life and
death of humans, I am clearly important. Also,
I am fierce and confident, which are traits
that a leader needs to have.
Examples: I was responsible for the Trojan War. I
also am the reason there is no world peace! I
have fire-breathing horses, which shows how
fierce everything associated with me is.
Opinion: Just remember, a vote for me as the
best god is a vote for protection from your
enemies on the battlefield of junior high!
