MULTIGENRE PROJECT- HONORS You are going to create a Multigenre Project (MGP) as we read Books 1, 9, and 10 of The Odyssey. A multigenre project is a “paper” made up of different genres, like drawings, webpages, blogs, letters, poems, and any other genre of which you can imagine. You will choose three genres to act as platforms where you present your understanding of The Odyssey. Attached to each genre, you must attach a paragraph-long prologue. This prologue explains how the genre is used, why you chose the genre, and how it applies to The Odyssey. All pieces of the MGP must be turned into the “English 9” box on the day it is due EXCEPT digital pieces. If you choose to do a digital piece, you must send an accessible link to your page to dwyererinm@gmail.com before 9:00 AM on the day the piece is due. If this is impossible, you may print the screen of your webpage and turn this into the English 9 box. YOU MAY NOT REPEAT ONE GENRE MORE THAN ONCE (this means you cannot create two letters, two essays, two twitter pages, etc.; you can use an arts/digital/writing format more than once, but not the same genre). PART 1 is due: A-Days: November 15 B-days November 18 Part 2 is due: A-Days: November 19 B-days November 20 Part 3 is due A-Days : November 25 B-days November 26 The Odyssey Multi-Genre Project Rubric Exemplary (5 points) Name, Title, Date Includes name, title of project piece, date Prologue There must be a defense for each of the genres Explain the reason for each genre you selected--point out who the audience is and the purpose of the genre Admirable (4 points) Basically explains why each genre was chosen, might be missing an element (audience, purpose, etc.) Adequate (3 points) Minimal (0-1 points) Score Is missing name OR title of project No name/title/date provided _____X1= /5 Does not give the reader enough information to defend genre choice.
