The Carleton Bookstore orders textbooks which are required or recommended for
each course and makes this information available on the web at
http://www.carletonbookstore.com/carleton/textbooks/. Textbook information
becomes available as faculty submit their orders. While every effort is made to
secure textbook information in a timely fashion, such information may not be
available at the time of registration.

Web registration for on-campus academic courses, Physical Education activity
classes, and Carleton Off Campus programs takes place November 1-December
31. See “Registration Changes” below for additional registration opportunities.
You must discuss your registration with your advisor prior to registering. See the
Registration Instructions document at

detailed information. First-year seminars (courses numbered 100) are held
exclusively for the class of 2014.

Convocation
All full time students who will be studying on campus in a succeeding term will be
expected to register for that term within the registration period. Those who do not
will be contacted shortly after registration to clarify their intent to attend during the
following term. Failure to register by the end of the first two weeks of the term
will be regarded as withdrawal from the College. Students returning from offcampus status who have not registered may register during the first two weeks of
the term or with the permission of the Academic Standing Committee thereafter.

After you have registered, you may access your class schedules on the web. IT IS
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CAREFULLY CHECK YOUR SCHEDULE
AND MAKE ANY NECESSARY CORRECTIONS. Changes can be made via the
web from November 1 through 4:00 p.m. November 18. Any changes necessary
after this time must be made via a paper process during the add/drop period during
Winter term. Drop/add cards will be available in the Registrar’s Office on the first
day of classes.

sophomores, first year students, seniors, juniors. A senior or
junior wanting to register for such a course must waitlist in the
“WL” section and may register for the course during winter term
if space is available, however waitlisted sophomores and first
year students will have waitlist priority. If you are a junior or
senior and need a particular “sophomore priority” course for
graduation, PLEASE TALK WITH YOUR ADVISER NOW.

Independent study and credit internship registration is a paper
process. You will not be able to register for independent study
or credit internships via the web. You must submit your
completed independent study forms to the Registrar's Office
during normal business hours. 290/390, 291/391, 292/392 for all
subjects, as well as BIOL 394, CHEM 394 and PHYS/ASTR
356, are considered independent study and require a paper
registration process. Forms for BIOL 394, CHEM 394 and
PHYS/ASTR 356 are available in the respective academic
departmental offices; other independent study forms are
available on the HUB or from the Registrar's Office.
