JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Floor nurse with comprehensive care responsibilities that includes application of
nursing process by means of assessment, planning, implementation and
evaluation.
2. Making rounds with doctors and carrying out orders accurately, perform nursing
task and procedure using generally methods and techniques as detailed in policies
and procedures for the nursing department for the control and well being of the
patient.
3. Taking vital signs / parameters: temperature, pulse rate and blood pressure,
monitoring intake and output as desired, perform removal of the IV line by using
abbocath all sizes.
4. Assisting the physician during medical procedures.
5. Giving treatment, insertion of NGT, suctioning, insertion and removal of foley
catheter, TSB, perennial care.
6. Giving health education by preparing and instructing the family members in the
methods and techniques of home care after discharge from the hospital.
7. Perform such task-related duties not specified / enumerated in this job description
which may from time to time be assigned by superiors.
8. Giving direct total nursing care that centers on rehabilitative and convalescent to
various kind of patient.
9. assisting passive range of motion exercise and giving bed bath as well as
perennial care.
10. Assisting the patient , feeding and giving oral medication.
