The new SEN Code of Practice recommends
Provision Maps as an “efficient way of showing all
the provision that the school makes which is
additional to and different from that which is offered
through the school’s curriculum.” This workshop
session will allow time for SENCOs to reflect on their
own school’s process for matching and mapping
provision to the assessed needs of pupils across the
school. It will provide an opportunity to consider and
share examples of effective interventions and the
class teacher’s role in this process to ensure
successful approaches are adopted into quality first

They say there are two topics that really get students
really excited; dinosaurs and space. Since the
dinosaurs aren't coming back, this workshop
concentrates on giving you lots of practical
suggestions to make your teaching of space even
more engaging. It will help to secure your own
understanding of the subject and provide lots of
ideas that can also enliven other curriculum areas.
The workshop is suitable for science co-ordinators,
classroom teachers and classroom assistants and is
led by Judith Green from Robert Smyth Academy,
Market Harborough who is also a lead educator with
the National Space Academy.

The Improving Teaching Programme is an innovative
and highly successful six week intensive programme
of focused support that empowers teachers to
consistently deliver high quality lessons. Through
practical and interactive development sessions,
participants will build confidence as they generate
ideas and strategies to develop their practice.
The East Midlands Primary Mathematics Conference
has been organised by NETS Training in association
with NCETM, ATM and MA. The focus for the event
is to offer expert insight and practical solutions for
primary schools to help develop mastery within
primary mathematics teaching. We are delighted to
welcome nationally recognised expert key note
speakers to our event who will share their views and
current insight in best practice in primary
mathematics teaching and leadership. We have on
offer a large range of workshops for delegates to
take part in that will be led by school based
practitioners and partners from universities,
associations consultants and SLEs. These workshops
promise to be full of current practice and thinking,
helping delegates to take away useful resources and
ideas for their school. We look forward to welcoming
delegates to our conference at which information
will be available about our Maths Hub partnerships;
Beauchamp Community College and East Midlands
West.

Full day
This course focusses on building pupils passion for
learning. Steve Harris will translate well-researched
theory into practical ideas for use in the classroom.
The course explores the underlying characteristics
that lead to achievement and enjoyment (e.g.
curiosity, collaboration, motivation, concentration,
reflecting, independence, perseverance etc.) The
work provides practical ideas around planning,
delivery and feedback that run in conjunction with
the new curriculum. The course asks the question,
“What should school be about?” and provides
