US Internships: Office of Recruitment & Communications

academic year internships available for Federal Work Study or Stipend.
Alumni Engagement Intern: manage communications with alumni and prospective
volunteers via online forums and email newsletters; respond to requests from returned
volunteers; create monthly job bulletins for alumni; engage alumni for assistance at career
fairs and for newsletter content.
Marketing & Publicity Intern: manage social media calendar and track engagement,
write blog posts, assist with online and print advertising, create email campaigns, help with
website management
Campus Outreach Intern: help manage campus outreach, including career fair
planning, database management of prospective volunteers, online listings on school job
boards, work with alumni 'campus representatives'
US Internships: Office of Education

Education Program Assistant: Assist with project management in the Office of Education.
Duties include analyzing quantitative data, corresponding with field staff and Ministry of
Education partners, reviewing, editing and organizing professional development materials,
managing WorldTeachNet (teacher training website), editing country-specific curricula, and
assisting with daily office administration.
Latin America Teacher Quality Coordinator: As a teacher trainer, Coordinators will
manage the professional development program for our volunteers teaching in Colombia,
Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Chile. Duties include mentoring and professionally supporting
teachers, evaluating teacher performance through video, lesson plan and case study
submissions, tracking program participation, and managing the Teaching English as a
Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification process.
Africa Teacher Quality Coordinator: As a teacher trainer, Coordinators will manage the
professional development program for our volunteers teaching in Tanzania and Namibia.
Duties include mentoring and professionally supporting teachers, evaluating teacher
performance through video, lesson plan and case study submissions, tracking program
participation, and managing the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification
process.
Asia Teacher Quality Coordinator: As a teacher trainer, Coordinators will manage the
professional development program for our volunteers teaching in China and Thailand. Duties
include mentoring and professionally supporting teachers, evaluating teacher performance
through video, lesson plan and case study submissions, tracking program participation, and
managing the Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification process.
M&E Specialist: Design and implement evaluation plans for the WorldTeach programs in
Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guyana, Chile, Namibia, Tanzania, Thailand, China,
Micronesia, the Marshall Islands and American Samoa. Responsibilities include: developing
and managing systems for monitoring and evaluation projects in field offices, coordinating
resources with field staff and/or volunteers, performing data collection and quantitative
analysis for impact evaluations, creating reports and presentations, designing training
materials for implementation of assessments, and possibly developing evaluation tools,
including standards-based assessments, as needed.
Pacific Islands Teacher Quality Coordinator: As a teacher trainer, Coordinators will
manage the professional development program for our volunteers teaching in Micronesia,
American Samoa and the Marshall Islands. Duties include mentoring and professionally
supporting teachers, evaluating teacher performance through video, lesson plan and case
study submissions, tracking program participation, and managing the Teaching English as a
Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification process.
Teacher Quality Program Manager: Oversee WorldTeach professional development
programs serving roughly 400 volunteers teaching in 12 countries. Duties include
supervising upwards of 7 teacher trainers, monitoring program participation, managing
professional development materials and website, facilitating staff meetings, and evaluating
teacher performance through video, lesson plan and case study submissions.
US Internships: Office of Finance
Accounting Intern: The Accounting Intern works with the Finance Director on financial
record keeping. Duties mainly include entry of payment transactions for accounts receivable
and reconciling field financial reports. Payment transactions both online and via check must
be processed and receipts sent. Field financial reports must be checked for accuracy against
receipts and bank statements. Interns will be asked to troubleshoot with field staff on
inaccurate reports. Interns will also help with administrative tasks such as volunteer
insurance updates, responding to public requests, as well as assisting with daily office tasks.
These duties may fluctuate as various program departure dates near. The position will begin
on May 15th and end on August 25th for a commitment of 10 hours per week.
US Internships: Office of Programs
Programs Assistant: The Program Assistant will work with Program Managers to prepare
volunteers for departure, including editing program literature and program reports with
InDesign, communicate with confirmed volunteers via mail and email, process required
forms and payments, and coordinating travel forms and visa documents. The primary goal
is to ensure proper preparation of all volunteers before they embark on their WorldTeach
experience and often includes time sensitive tasks.
