Job Summary Develop and Implement a Revenue Generation Strategy: In collaboration with the Executive Director and advancement team create a strategy to identify and secure corporate, foundation, individual, religious, service club and government partnerships work with advancement team to develop target list of prospects. Understand the marketing and business needs of corporations and foundations and develop and implement a revenue generation strategy that addresses these needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree Preferred 4 plus years of demonstrated success in raising major gifts and planned gifts Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and be self-directed Strong writing, editing and communication skills Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries Acceptance and respect for cultural diversity, sexual orientation and religious backgrounds Demonstrated ability to manage overall goals while attending to details Able to meet people with ease and communicate with tact, diplomacy, and authority when necessary Discretion in handling confidential information and materials Maintain all aspects of agency confidentiality policy at all times Thorough knowledge of marketing strategies and public relations skills Above average knowledge of a computer including MS Office, the internet, and email applications Examples of Duties Develop and administer a strategic plan with short and long-range goals for developing and deepening major gift unrestricted funding Establish a strong “feeder program” for the Major Gifts portfolio by: (a) implementing an effective system for identifying, qualifying, and cultivating individuals with interest and capacity; and (b) developing and implementing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for midlevel donors who have the capacity to transition to the major gifts program Personally solicit high profile, and/or extremely complex major gifts by making 25+ total contacts (moves) per week Responsible for 5 solicitations per week Implement and manage vehicles for frequent interaction with donors and prospects through personal visits and other direct and indirect communication such as phone, email and other correspondence Network effectively, internally and externally, to identify new revenue opportunities. Work with board, staff, and volunteers and coordinate inter-organizational approaches; use research to identify hi-profile donors Leverage Board members and champion relationships to increase major giving and relationship development Coordinate appointments and prepare materials used by Executive Director, Board & volunteers for meetings, visits, events or phone calls made to high profile prospects Identify and engage Presidents, CEOs and Senior Vice Presidents of companies to invest financially in the mission of Mutual Ground. Work both independently and with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors to solicit and close gifts to raise annual operating budget in total Develop and organize annual fund appeals for specific donor segments Develop and implement strategies that will increase the number and size of planned gifts on an annual basis and over the long term. Improve tracking and stewardship of donors who have made a planned gift or a commitment for a planned gift Create powerful sales material. Work with the advancement team to create a compelling case for support Maintain timely and accurate records on individual donors and potential donors to support ongoing activity and future fund raising—including plans, tracking, and reporting.
