Job Purpose
• The primary role of the International Academy Project Manager is to assist the in-market teams in the
management and delivery of Academy products to pre-engaged clients on an International level. This
includes the set-up of Academy services and teams in new and existing markets and where required as
the lead between the client and the in-market Academy functions as the single point of accountability for
cross market trials, pilots and implementations. The International Academy Project Manager will be
required to design and deliver Academy products in line with the Client requirements and be able to
manage the implementation as a project as well as contribute to proposals and deals for new business
when required.
Job Description
Principal Accountabilities
Stakeholder Management

Manage personal stakeholder interactions and develop appropriate and effective relationships with
stakeholders at all levels in multiple markets.

Share project initiative document with identified stakeholders to gain buy in.

Facilitate as required both internal and external stakeholder groups across multiple markets.

Create and communicate project plan and key milestones.

Hold regular project update meetings to all relevant contacts associated with the project.

Conduct lessons learnt following successful completion of the implementation of the project.
International Academy Design/Delivery & Evaluation

Act as the Academy project lead for new client proposals as directed by the Global Head of the Academy.

Manage the design and delivery of suitably tailored Academy interventions following client requirement
discussions.

Deliver specific project related training as agreed with Project Plan and sign off.

Ensure Academy materials are professional and relevant to the client and project as agreed.

Provide costings and commercials associated with the specific project.

Evaluate and measure outputs from the Academy intervention, use internal processes to provide feedback to
internal and external stakeholder groups.

Deliver international projects including cross national pilots, trials and other projects.

Deliver Academy products and services in Markets where insufficient resources are available.

Personally deliver Academy products and services as and when required in the home market to achieve
performance objectives.
Process Compliance

Personally follow the Academy and other internal processes and achieve the deliverables.

Ensure that all projects allow for and follow the processes to record Academy activities.

Ensure that the personal area for activity recording is accurate and up to date at all times.

Adhere to the appropriate processes in line with booking and arranging Academy interventions including travel
sign off.

Work closely with CitNOW Support Team to ensure clients are receiving a high level of customer satisfaction
through first class support at 1st and 2nd line level.
Job Description
Project Management

Implement all projects ensuring they achieve their deliverables and are on time and to budget.

Approach project using the approved and recognised CitNOW project methodology.

Create a Project Initiation document to include communication methods and sign off processes together with
timescales and full costings.

Identify resource requirements across and within markets.

Identify budget and associated timescales.

Gain sign off from Head of Academy and other relevant management and team members ensuring that all
markets are informed and engaged.
Business Development

Follow the Academy business development process and deliver against personal business development
projects and targets.

Proactively approach existing clients and prospects to gain interest in Academy products including
consultancy.

Working with Sales, Client Services and Academy management and teams across multiple markets, identify
and exploit opportunities to deliver existing and new Academy projects and services to new and existing client
groups at all levels.

Proactively meet with clients post project implementation to ensure customer satisfaction, retention and
repetition of existing programmes and identification of further business opportunities.

Create case study material for future proposals detailing the success of the projects being implemented.

Capture specific feedback from Key client groups to support future case study work.

Assist the Head of Academy, Sales and Client Services teams in the proposal and negotiation stages of
projects.
Business Planning

Review in conjunction with the sales plan potential pilot projects with key clients across multiple markets.

In conjunction with the Head of Academy and Head of Regional, Cluster/Market Leadership sales team
identify headcount for in country teams.
Performance Management

Manage personal and project performance to achieve all deliverables.

Manage the performance of project deliverables from the allocated sources as part of the project delivery
team.

Ensure that personal productivity meets the utilisation requirements for Academy delivery.
Job Description
Resource Management

Follow the Academy resource management process to deliver against personal projects and targets.

Identify resource requirements and liaise with appropriate in-market Academy teams or the Head of Functions
to ensure resources are available when required.

Manage outputs from resources allocated to the project team to ensure all deliverables are completed to
specification, time and budget.

Manage costs associated with project delivery including 3rd party suppliers and associates across multiple
markets.

Work with the HR team to manage the recruitment, assessment and induction of new joiners to the Academy
employee or associate ‘in-market’ teams as required.
Reporting & Analysis

Personally follow the Academy and other internal reporting and analysis processes and timescales.

Provide weekly updated on Project progress meetings.

Communicate to internal key stakeholder groups any GAR status reports with suggested mitigation steps.

Use reporting and analysis to ensure resource levels are sufficient to achieve project deliverables and provide
estimated resource requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Co-ordinate any escalations as part of the project management process.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

‘Academy or Learning' experience in the Automotive Industry in Market

‘Academy or Learning' Management experience in the Automotive Industry across multiple markets

Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating learning interventions

Experience in the development and delivery of consultancy based projects

Experience of project management in the Automotive Industry

A complete understanding project managing Learning and Development Interventions
