AVP (Sales) - North
Report to National Head-Sales; lead a team of 62. Took over North branch to correct the market
hygiene and sales deliveries by taking corrective actions and motivating team to augment sales.
Currently leading regional operations in entire North Region (minus UP- handled UP till July’11).
Oversee sales deliverables including sales volume, distribution, financials, and driving competency at
all levels.










Highest growing Region in H1 of 2013-14. Highest AOP delivery of 105%.
Took over North Branch during the downfall of No.1 soap and boosted from negative Growth 12%
to >30%; attained 112-H2 Index for ‘No.1’, after 88-H1 index in year 1 and delivering 131-current
growth Index for 2011-12.
Augmented overall sales growth by 26% yearly; achieved overall business index of 90 for AprSep’10, 109-H2 index for 2010-11, and 126-branch growth index for 2011-12
Achieved 27% internal sales growth for soap and hair color category and positioned North 2
region as highest growing branch for soap and hair color category in FY2012.
Accelerated ‘Good Knight’ LMD( Liquid Machine Device) beating ‘All Out’(AO) LMD share by
0.1% margin in Jan’12. First time in Delhi. Market leader in Delhi as of Sep’13 with a large gap
GK 50.9 and AO down to 43.Became Volume leaders in Rajasthan and improved considerably
our standing in Punjab/Haryana.
Increased market share in Coils category augmenting ‘Goodnight’ share from 8% in July'11 to
20.4% in Feb'13 in Region. In Delhi share moved from 10.1 to 25.5, Rajasthan from 6.7 to 22.4
and Punjab 10 to 27 in same period. Now market leader in Punjab.
Increased market share in LV (liquid vaporizers) category from 21% in July’11 to 32.6% in Feb’13
and reduced gap with market leader ‘All Out’. Leadership in Delhi as of Oct’13. GK now 44.6 and
AO down to 42.1
Continued performing in soaps …Highest MS in Punjab of 25.5% in Sep’13. Regained Leadership
in Haryana in Feb’13 and touched 21.05 as of Sep’13. Delhi continue to be 2/3rd rank.
In Hair color continued increasing MS of Nupur and established Expert crème. Gained 1.5% MS
of HC thru Crème in forth month of launch.
In newly launched category of Car perfumes ….AER brand established very quickly and Delhi
doing almost 100 lacs per month now. P& G under Pressure on Ambipure in Delhi.
Apr 08-Sep 10 AVP (Sales) East - Kolkata
Led a team of 52 and mentored and motivated the entire branch to enhance the branch performance
and implemented key processes and authorities in the Branch to deliver the highest growth pan India.


Aligned team and achieved >10% growth for the first time in double digits in 2008-09
Contributed in making East branch, the highest growing branch pan India with 16% growth in
2009-10 for the first time in past 14 years and again in 2010-11 with 6% growth pan India

Boosted the sales growth of the branch from Rs.7 Cr p.m. to Rs.12 Cr p.m. by 2010
Augmented market share for hair color brands viz. ‘Expert’ to 29% from 28%, ‘Nupur’ to 2.3%
from 1%, and ‘Renew Crème’ color to 2.5% from 2.3% (Aug'09 - Aug'10)
Increased market share of Cinthol soap brand to 2% from <1.5% and No.1 brand to 2% from <l%
Jan 07-Apr 08 General Manager (Sales) East – Kolkata
Headed a direct and indirect team of 60 members; took over East branch operations during the
descending state with accountability for turning around the business in the Eastern Region.


Retained East region from shutting down phase and restored the company reputation in trade
through process implementation in the region within 3 years
Improved deliverance which doubled the growth rates of last 10 years from 8% to 16% (1996-06)
through bigger sales, capability building, process implementations and utilization of initiatives

Expanded ‘Godrej No.1’ soap brand in Punjab and reached the highest market share of 33.1% as
compared to the combined market share of Lux, Breeze, and Rexona (Oct 06). Nowhere has this
phenomenon been even repeated anywhere in the country till now, 2012.
Promoted business for Godrej No.1, Cinthol and Fair Glow and positioned all 3 in top 10 soap
brands in the state, again never achieved by any other state till now.
Cited ‘Godrej No.1’ as Market Leader in Punjab since 2003 and reached 33% market share.
Over all sales growth from Rs.47 L p.m. to Rs.7 Cr p.m. between Sep 1996 to Dec 2006

Rs.700+ Cr brand AI).
Accelerated ‘No.1’ as largest selling soap in Punjab and with >30% share. A feat Not achieved by
any other soap brand in any state in Country.
Awarded as Outstanding team pan India in Godrej Group of companies for making ‘Godrej No.1’
the market leader in Punjab and surpassing Lux (HUL). Till this date also No other sales team has
won this award.
Recognized as highest contributing ASM pan India with 10% value contribution and with highest
growing ASM area in the country for >5 yrs.
