ATTENDANCE
Daily attendance is a key component toward success in this course. An absence from class
does not excuse you from learning material you missed or completing assignments. If you are
absent it is your responsibility to obtain and complete missed assignments. I will provide you
with any handouts, but I will not use class to re-teach material. Check my webpage when you
are absent and ask a friend/classmate for any notes that you missed. If you are absent on the
day of a test or quiz it will be made up upon your return. If you are absent for more than one
day you must schedule a time to complete that assessment immediately following your return to
class.
AFTER SCHOOL HELP
After school help will be offered to those students who are completing all of their homework
assignments, taking all daily class notes, and participating in all class activities.
Please advise me at least a day ahead of time if you plan on staying after school. Help will be
offered in room F112.
There is also help available before and after school in the high school library. Before school
help is held Monday through Friday from 6:45 – 7:15 AM. After school help is held Monday
through Thursday from 2:30 – 4:00 PM.


Come to class prepared and ready to learn. You are expected to be in class and in your
assigned seat before the bell rings.
Class is not dismissed until the bell rings. Stay in your assigned seat until this time.
I do not write hall passes for students, so if you want to go to the guidance department,
principal’s office, etc. you must have a pass from them to do so.
Abusing the bathroom pass will result in the loss of bathroom privileges.
If you cut class on the day of a test or a quiz you will receive zero for that grade.
No cell phones or iPods. If they are seen during a test or quiz you will receive a zero
for that grade.
All work must be done in pencil.
I expect you to treat each student in the classroom with complete respect,
maintain a positive attitude, work hard, and do your best at all times.
