JOB DESCRIPTION JOB REF: 25/14E JOB TITLE: SALES & MARKETING EXECUTIVE POST TYPE: 2 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT DIVISION: MARKETING GRADE: EXECUTIVE OFFICER LINE MANAGER: ROI MARKETING MANAGER SALARY SCALE: €30,302 - €45,617 LOCATION: ROI HOURS OF WORK: Normal hours are 9am – 5:15pm 5 days over a 7 day roster ANNUAL LEAVE: 25 days p.a. plus 10 Public & Privileged Holidays GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY To provide Sales and Marketing support to the ROI office team in the delivery and roll-out of a comprehensive sales and marketing plan in line with NITB’s strategic objectives for the ROI market. MAIN DUTIES - Assist the Manager/Staff Officer with the planning and implementation of the consumer marketing campaigns and promotions - Identify and evaluate promotional opportunities in the ROI market - Support the Staff Officer in organising and arranging ROI consumer shows and promotions - Develop close relationships with NI trade and recruit NI trade partners for consumer shows and promotions - Liaise with and manage the relationship with a design agency to ensure the effective and timely execution of promotions and projects. - Ensure design briefs are comprehensive and in line with unit budget Attendance at events, shows and promotions Manage the transfer of competition entries from shows and promotions to ROI consumer database Work with the Staff Officer/Manager in developing market ezines for consumers including, collating data and editing information on a monthly basis Manage and maintain levels of marketing collateral for NITB shows - Develop and maintain up-to-date databases of key product contacts - Prepare, update and maintain sales databases with contact details for groups - Work with line manager in securing opportunities to deliver presentations - Assist in preparation and delivery of presentations - Ensure that appropriate platforms are provided for NI partners and work to ensure the optimum level of participation at presentations and for all marketing activity in ROI - Ensure all financial and administrative systems, procedures and records are managed, processed and maintained in a timely, efficient and up to date manner - Ensure effective budget management, control and reporting of allocated resources in line with company policy and procedures - Contribute to unit and divisional plans and provide administrative support as required - Contribute to the planning and implementation of changes in NITB’s services, operations and systems to meet customer needs - Support on AQ/PQ,Ministerial briefings, Chairman/Chief Executive/SMT correspondence as appropriate Any other relevant duties required by NITB management PERSON SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL CRITERIA – EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE i. Six passes at Leaving Cert or 5 GCSE’s at grade A-C to include English, Maths or equivalent AND ii. 2 years’ experience (within the last 5 years) working in a marketing/sales related environment OR iii. 5 years’ experience (within the last 5 years), working in a sales & marketing related environment ESSENTIAL CRITERIA - PERSONAL EFFECTIVENESS The Job Holder will also possess a high standard of: i. Written & oral communication skills ii. Ability to plan and organise and prioritise to meet deadlines iii. Ability to work on own initiative and take lead where necessary iv. Customer care focused and committed to continuous improvement v.
