All people, objects, and ideas will be treated with the utmost respect.
Students will come to class prepared to participate and contribute 100% every day.
We will maintain an Honor Code.
Class procedures and school policies will be followed.
Most importantly: always think (for yourself)!
Lastly, NO DRAMA!
Classroom Procedures:
1. Students will come to class promptly and with appropriate
materials: completed assignments, textbook, writing
implement, Accelerated Reader book, notebook etc… in order
to maintain their participation points. (45 points per quarter)
2. Most classes start with a problem of the day. Students should
enter and begin work immediately.
3. All class work, homework, grade sheets, etc…should be kept in an orderly chronological
fashion within your notebook.
4. Homework will be due at the start of class. It will be graded upon completeness (not
accuracy) unless otherwise noted in advance. Students will also be held accountable for the
content of assigned readings. If class discussion is insufficient then pop quizzes will be
administered.
5. If you finish an assignment early you may work on homework, H.E.P. projects, competition
preparation, AR reading, or pull-out activities – as long as you are not distracting others.
6. Students missing class for competitions or field trips are responsible for obtaining all their
assignments in advance (and for ALL other classes)
7. Students absent because of illness or emergency should check Miss Weaver’s website, see
her during AM homeroom, and/or also during activity period dependent upon what they
missed. Missed assignments will have due dates based upon the number of days missed.
(Example: A student missing three days must have an assignment to me within three days
of returning.)
8. All late assignments will be graded according to 6th Grade policies.
9. Students will only pack up their belongings to leave when class is completed, as indicated
by the teacher.
Fun Facts:

Students can earn gastronomic rewards by solving problems of the day.

Each year students will be allotted one mulligan. Students choosing to use it are allowed to
retake one exam within two weeks of the original test date and take the score of the second test.
This may only be used once per year! Students not using the mulligan will receive 3 bonus
points in exchange for it at the end of the 4th quarter.
