Rule: You must always tell the reader who said the quote and where to find it; there are three
ways you can do this:
1.
At the end of The Kite Runner, Amir compares Sohrab’s ability to heal to the changing of
seasons when he states that “because when spring comes, it melts the snow one flake at a
time, and maybe I just witnessed the first flake melting” (Hosseini 371).
2.
At the end of The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, Amir compares Sohrab’s ability to heal to
the changing of seasons when he states that “because when spring comes, it melts the snow
one flake at a time, and maybe I just witnessed the first flake melting” (371).
3.
Khaled Hosseini creates a sense of hope through Amir, his main character in The Kite Runner,
who states that “because when spring comes, it melts the snow one flake at a time, and
maybe I just witnessed the first flake melting” (371).
