Apprenticeship qualification:
AAT Level 3 (Association of Accounting Technician)
CFAB Level 4 (Certificate in Finance Accounting & Business ICAEW)
ATT Level 4(Association of Taxation Technicians)
Minimum qualification requirements: A minimum of 280 UCAS points or equivalent from your top 3
grades (excluding General Studies), either predicted or achieved and 5 GCSEs at grades A - C
including a grade B in Maths and English Language.

Vacancy Description
Accounting and Business Advisory roles:
At Baker Tilly we provide a spectrum of Accounts and Business Advisory services to help businesses
with the routines and responsibilities of running a company, managing a business and its money. The
Accounts and Business Advisory team provide advice on a daily basis to their clients on matters such
as management accounting, payroll, financial reporting, employee ownership and accounts
preparation. We can take-on and manage these aspects of the business – and more – for our clients,
allowing them the time to do what they do best. We pride ourselves on providing reliable and
responsible business-support services to help our clients' businesses succeed.
Audit roles:
Apprentices will become involved in client work very quickly, initially working as part of a larger
team and gaining experience in a number of areas. The depth of services and clients you will be
exposed to early in your career will provide you with a jump start into the varied world of
accountancy.
There are questions you’ll be answering in audit such as: do cash balances match bank records?
Does a company own its fixed assets? How much is stock really worth?
Tax roles:
To start with, you’ll get a real blend of business tax, private client tax and indirect tax, as we prepare
you for a constantly moving industry and make sure you’re ready to answer clients’ changing needs.
At Baker Tilly, we have the experience and know-how to provide proactive, integrated answers for
all forms of tax in the UK and overseas. It’ll be your job to provide innovative tax solutions, through
well thought-out plans and sophisticated problem-solving.
Our Accountancy Apprenticeship Programme is a unique opportunity. To be considered, you must:
 Have sat, or are about to sit, your A’ level examinations
 You will need to achieve 3 A’ Level results as above
 Plus have a minimum GCSE’s in Math’s and English Language grade B or above including
 Be able and willing to work in any of the above stated locations
 Be totally committed to progressing to become a Chartered Accountant
 Be seeking and ready for an accelerated accountancy programme to develop your skills
What to expect:
 You can expect to be offered 2 year continuing employment with Baker Tilly under the
Accountancy Apprenticeship Programme starting in September 2015
 In addition to a competitive salary, you will be supported through assisted study including
generous study leave, tuition and examination fees paid
 You will train for the examinations of the AAT / ATT / CFAB
