INTRODUCTION
You are about to embark on a journey enriched with
history, religion, mystery, and hysteria. Through
Puritanism, Salem and its Witch Trials, and the
irresponsible actions of Senator Joseph McCarthy, we
will discover the world of playwright Arthur Miller
and his creation of The Crucible. In groups, you will
research one of the related topics. By the end of your
research, your journey will be complete and your
knowledge fulfilled.

EVALUATION
The group will also be graded on citation of
sources.
Each project will be carefully checked for plagiarism.
Each project will contain a title page and a works cited
page.
Power point and Prezi presentations must have no fewer
than 15 informational slides, not including the title page
and works cited page.
Movie Maker projects must be no less than 3 minutes and
no more than 5.
Any evidence of plagiarism will result in a failing grade.
EVALUATION
You are expected to take the information that you
find and make it your own. Don’t simply copy and
paste information into your presentation.
Even if you paraphrase the information; however,
it MUST be cited.
If you do not understand a word’s meaning,
assume that the class will not understand it either,
and if you cannot pronounce the word-DON’T
USE IT!
You are teaching the class. Speak so that everyone
can hear and understand you.
