The Great Gatsby
Research Project using PHOTOSTORY
Name: ____________________________________
DUE DATE:
Topic: ____________________________________
The novel “The Great Gatsby” takes place during the 1920’s. To understand some of the content and background
of that time in history, we are going to research topics related to that time period prior to our reading of the
novel. You will be given a topic to research and you will complete a Photostory presention about your topic. THIS
PROJECT IS DESIGNED SO THAT YOU CAN COMPLETE IT DURING OUR TIME IN THE MEDIA CENTER. If you use
your time wisely, you SHOULD NOT have to work on this at home. If you are absent and need to catch up, or need
some extra help with the project Mrs. Harris will be available in the media center every morning (except
Thursday) from 7:45-8:45.
Your Photo Story Presentation MUST follow the storyboard, including proven facts, pictures, SMARTART Timeline,
Works Cited page in MLA format, narration and background music. Your project will be saved in your EDLINE FILE
LOCKER and SUBMITTED VIA EDLINE’S HOMEWORK TURN-IN FUNCTION. You must have your own Edline
account activated (you cannot turn in assignments through your parent’s account).
The topics are specific but you can elaborate if you choose. You must give enough details and support to TEACH
your classmates about the topics. These details will be written out by you and accompanied with pictures and
your narration. You must be SPECIFIC in your descriptions and show that you put time and effort into your
project.
