Question1
Freedom is the right to act, right speak, think, and write as one chooses without being
enslaved or imprisoned. However, it also means securing to everybody equal opportunity, the
quest of happiness, and liberty.
Question2
To most people, freedom means doing or saying whatever they want literally. It leads to a
situation whereby everyone fights for himself. However, it reaches a point when one’s choices
infringe on the other person’s freedom.
The case of Schenck v. the United States, 249 U.S. 47 (1919) shows a situation whereby
there is the misuse of freedom of speech in a manner that it would harm other people. Similarly,
when an employee posts words that hurt the reputation of the company in his social site, then it
infringes on the other party, which eventually leads to disagreement. It is important to look at the
difference that arises between “freedom from” and “freedom of/to”.
Question 3
The purpose of this proposal is to solve the continuous problem arising in the society
because of people infringing on others rights in the name of expressing their freedom.

Moreover, many companies have embraced the use of social media sites as recruitment process,
and background check up.
There is continuous global debate as to whether these practices go against the employees’
freedom. Massaro (3) in his writing condemns judges’ deference to an employer's anticipation of
disturbance as a basis for employee punishment. On the other hand, employees do express
themselves in many ways, especially during a demonstration. Employers feel that the employees
do overstep their freedom.
Question4
This proposal will help workers and their employers understand the definition of freedom
and its limits, hence a peaceful relationship between the two parties. Companies should bring in
trainers who would enlighten workers and their bosses on the clear definition of freedom and
how to express it without infringing on other people’s rights.
Question 5
This proposal will be a blog post to ensure that it reaches as many people as possible.
Most of employees and employers visit the internet frequently and would, therefore, be able to
read about the definition of freedom.
Conclusion
In conclusion, for the employers and employees to have a smooth relationship, it is
important for the employees to express their freedom of without any penalty. However, it is
essential to know that freedom does not mean doing whatever a person wants literally but has a
limit. For example; in a demonstration where workers destroy properties to attract the attention
the company or shout threatening words. Similarly, when an employer holds an employee liable

to words or speech that does not affect the company or in any way then he violates the
employee’s freedom of speech.
