Entering Class:
Students should enter classroom quietly.
-Sit in your assigned seat. This seating
arrangement may be changed throughout
the year, as needed
Arrive on time.
-Students should be in the classroom before the tardy bell finishes
ringing. Otherwise, the student will be sent to the library or
Assistant Principal office to receive a tardy.
Every set of 4 tardiness a referral will be given.

Supplies:
Students are responsible to
bring their supplies and
homework (if any) on a daily
basis.

Class supplies are located

The pencil sharpener should
be used before class begins.

Tasks
Students are to complete the
warm-up. When this tasks is
complete, the student will fill out
planner and get math notebook.
All binders should be on the floor
under chair. Back packs stay in
your locker)
Students are expected to be honest
when grading their homework.
Students who choose to be dishonest
are only cheating themselves and this
becomes evident when the student
completes a test or quiz.
Required homework is determined by
the teacher ( Be reasonable)
If an assignment has no name, I will
ask for the paper to be claimed in
each class, if no one claims it, it will
be thrown away. Students will have
to redo any assignment turned in
without their name.
-Students are to only use PENCILS in math class.
-Students are to show ALL their work when
solving math problems

Absent Make up Work
Students are responsible for obtaining their
make up work after an absence. Normally, I
will have this in your class bin with your
name on it. If it is not there, you must
make sure to request it from me.
Teacher Suggestion – Write absent student
name on assignment right away…
Incomplete work will be
graded as is.
Late work will be graded
according to the student
handbook.
Students have one (1) opportunity
to redo any failed test or quiz in
order to bring the grade up to
passing (currently 70%). Quizzes
and tests can only be redone
during after school tutoring unless
student is absent..
Teacher discretion…
Early finishers may complete make
up work or additional work provided
by teacher. When these are
completed, students may complete
assignments from another class.
Students are not to disrupt the
learning environment.

Homework Not Done
Students will be assigned a lunch detention
in order to complete the homework
assignment that was not done. In
addition, a note will be sent home and
filed in the student’s folder.
Grading Policy
Formative: an assessment for learning that occurs during the
learning process and provides information to both teachers and
students that enable them to make adjustments to increase
learning. Examples may include: homework, class work, quizzes,
labs, draft essays, etc.
Summative: an assessment of learning that occurs after
instruction to determine what students know, understand and
can do at one point in time. Examples may include: unit exams,
major projects, final essays, lab practicum, and nine-week
exams.


Note to Teachers: Grade Consideration
Students are to access their locker
before school, before and after lunches
and after school. Students will NOT be
given a pass to go to their locker.
Water fountain and restroom issues
should be taken care of between classes.
-Students are not allowed to
touch or remove any item
from the teacher’s desk, or to
be in the area behind the
teacher’s desk, unless requested
by the teacher to do so.
Visitors:
-Students are to remain quiet and wait
for the teacher to finish and continue
working on their assignment
Instruction:
During class instruction, students should remain
in their assigned seat. However, with minimal
disruption, students may get up to get tissue or
sharpen their pencil with their handheld pencil
sharpener at the trash can when necessary.
Students are not allowed to wander around the
classroom to visit with friends.
Classroom Expectations
-Students are to arrive on time and prepared
for class
-Once instruction begins, students are not
allowed to talk or otherwise disrupt the
instruction
-Students are to remain in their assigned seat
-Only math work and notes are allowed to
be on out during class. Anything other than
math will be confiscated.
Dismissal:
The bell does not dismiss the students. The
teacher will instruct the students when to
leave the classroom.
ID Cards MUST be worn visible from the front
at ALL times when on campus or attending
any
KISD activity. IDs must be worn around the
neck on the lanyard provided by the
school.
IDs MUST not be defaced and must be
replaced if damaged in any way (i.e., adding
stickers,
pictures, markings, chewing, peeling, etc.).




Shirts/blouses MUST be solid white,
khaki/beige/tan, maroon, or navy blue, or gray.
Shirts must
have a collar/turtleneck and may be short or
long sleeved. They MUST be appropriately
sized.
Rancier Middle and Killeen High School “Spirit
Shirts” (i.e., supported programs) are allowed. If
an undershirt is worn under outer shirt, the
undershirt MUST be SOLID WHITE.




Pants MUST be solid navy blue, khaki/beige/tan.
Pants must be Docker style or cargo style
(straight leg). NO skinny (body hugging)
pants/jeans and No Jeggings. NO denim pants or
jeans;
NO cut-offs with frayed hems are allowed. Jeans
cannot have fraying or holes. All pants MUST
be appropriately sized and worn at the waist.
Black pants are not allowed.




Shorts/skorts MUST be solid navy blue or
khaki/beige/tan. The hem MUST be longer
than the
length of the student’s ID above the kneecap
and the back of the knee. Cargo
shorts/skorts are
allowed. No denim/jean material or athletic
shorts are allowed. All shorts/skorts MUST be
appropriately sized and worn at the waist.



Skirts/jumpers MUST be solid navy blue or
khaki/beige/tan. The hem may be NO shorter
than
the length of the student’s ID above the
kneecap and the back of the knee. All
skirts/jumpers
MUST be appropriately sized and worn
appropriately. No denim/jean material is
allowed.



Heavy jackets and overcoats CANNOT be
worn inside the building. They must be
placed in
lockers upon entering the school building.
NO trench coats are allowed.
Colors for jackets and overcoats worn to and
from school will be at parent's discretion.






Sweaters/hoodies/sweatshirts/vests MUST be solid
white, khaki/beige/tan,
HOODIES/ maroon, gray, or navy blue. They MUST
be appropriately sized and cannot be longer
SWEATSHIRTS/ than the bottom of the front pocket
of pants/shorts/skorts/skirts. A standardized
shirt/blouse
MUST be worn with these items and the collar MUST
be worn on the outside.
Sweatshirts/hoodies/sweaters/vests are NOT to be
wrapped around body. Standardized dress
colors for sweaters/hoodies/sweatshirts WILL BE
STRICTLY ENFORCED.




Footwear MUST be appropriate for school.
Colors for footwear will be at parent’s
discretion.
NO slides, moccasins, house slippers, shoe
skates, water shoes, sock shoes, or shoes
with metal
spikes may be worn. Shoes with laces and/or
fasteners must be tied and/or secured. (KISD
Student Code of Conduct Handbook
guidelines apply)




Hats and ball caps MUST be removed upon
entering the building and placed in lockers.
HEADGEAR Students may not carry them to
class and may not loop the hats on belt
loops. Do-rags and
BANDANAS of any color are NOT allowed
anywhere on campus or at any school
sponsored
event.


All backpacks, drawstring bags, and large
purses or bags MUST be placed in lockers
DRAW STRING upon entering the building and
must remain in lockers until students are
dismissed for the day.



Pants/shorts/jeans MUST be the appropriate
size and worn at the natural waist. Sagging is
defined as any clothing that sits below the
natural waist. Pants worn in this manner with
or
without shorts underneath will be considered
“sagging” and disciplinary measures may be
taken.



Eye brow slashes are NOT allowed. Students will be
required to fill eyebrow slashes in
SLASHES and disciplinary consequences may be
applied.
Wallet chains or chains of any kind are not allowed
on campus or at any school-sponsored eve





“Free Dress Days” will be designated by the
principal. On “Free Dress Days” students may
wear
any clothing as stated in the dress code
guidelines of the KISD Student Code of Conduct
Handbook
in addition to the Rancier Middle School
Standardized Dress Code Policy. Unless
specifically
stated above, all other dress code guidelines in
the KISD Student Code of Conduct Handbook will
apply.
