Criminal Mind references *All video clips were inappropriate for school* Song Lyrics: Katy Perry ft. Juicy J Dark Horse- “She’s a beast I call her karma She eats your heart out Like Jeffrey Dahmer” Sociological Theory: O Jeffrey Dahmer was a very sick individual. But, he even said himself that he was a normal child just like everyone else. After so long he just couldn’t control himself anymore. This is why I believe he fits into the Social Control Theory. He slowly developed into his murders and crimes and when he did his compulsions were not only physical but sexual. Most of his crimes he claimed to have committed under the influence of alcohol. He started heavily drinking during high school and it only got worse after he graduated. He committed his first murder almost straight out of high school after his dad forced him into joining the Army. He lost a bond with one of his family members because he was kicked out of the Army. This could have easily messed with his attachment issues. He went to gay bars and lured gay men to kill so he had to not care to conform to the social norm of following a straight lifestyle.
