Objectives Students will review membrane system, summarize roles of ER and Golgi

- Review other cell organelles: ribosomes, mitochondria, vacuoles
- Lysosomes: list 4 different roles
- Finish lab: wet mounts and prepared slides, summarize findings

Lesson 2 Chapter 7: The Cytoskeleton and Cell Junctions
Aim How do cells communicate and how do they connect to form tissues?
Objectives Students will watch short animations on cell framework and movement

- summarize cell boundaries: membrane, wall, extracellular media
- compare function and protein molecules in cilia, flagella and centrioles
- define and describe plant cell walls and communicating channels
- distinguish three kinds of animal cell junctions, tissue examples of each
