Team Ground Rules and Guidelines
What are the general expectations for all members of the team?
Our grades are vital and assignments deserve the combined effort of the entire team.
Participate in every team exercise by completing all agreed upon assignments within timeline given.
Do not release telephone numbers without consent of team members.
Provide an open line of communication (i.e. Not just one person takes it upon himself/herself to
accomplish all tasks)
We share responsibility and are accountable for our actions
Expectations for Time Management and Involvement
(Participation, communication with the team, accessibility, etc.)
Check in to the team chat area at least once each day for updates and cross talk.
Know your assignment and what is expected of you, don’t assume…confirm.
Get your assignment posted by the date/time it is required by the team.
Reply to emails in a timely manner so others may continue work.

Come to a consensus as a group when deciding what the best time is to submit an assignment.
Ensuring Fair and Even Contribution and Collaboration
What strategy will you use to ensure that all team members are contributing and collaborating
appropriately? Describe the communication strategy you will use if a team member is not contributing
and collaborating effectively. How will the team manage conflicts between team members?
1. Elect a team lead that will be responsible for ensuring assignment breakdown is relayed to all team
members. This will be accomplished by the Learning team thread but may require telephone or email
notifications.
2. Contact team member via telephone who is not completing team work as required and ascertain
status of teammate.
3. If conflicts arise between team members it should be agreed that communication by means of
telephone be used in order to clarify misinterpretation or conflict. If the members cannot reach an
amiable agreement on a solution then a mediator should be assigned. If no solution or agreement is
found and conflict escalates, then the instructor shall be the mediator.
Special Considerations
What do you, as a team, agree will make this team experience different from past team experiences?
We commit to doing our best to be available during the times we have stated we will be, we will alert
team members is we cannot fulfill a team requirement as soon as we are aware there is an issue, we will
treat our teammates with respect and consideration, and we will work hard to do a good job on team
projects.
1. Complete buy in from all personnel is essential, a few should not be responsible for all work assigned.
2. Communication is essential!
3. We are all striving for the same general goal and we should all work equally as hard.
4. We must understand that this is a technology based course and be sure that all software and devices
are working properly.
