The following paragraph contains fragments. Correct the fragments so that the

Sometimes new approaches to politics emerge for very specific purposes. An example of
this. The Green Party, a political organization that was begun in Germany by a group of mostly
young people. They realized that more needs to be done by governments to protect the
environment. The Greens consider themselves. The only political party that really makes children
and the future welfare of the planet. A top priority! The members of the group have worked hard.
As a result. Many important changes have already occurred. Because of a growing awareness of
the ways humans are damaging the environment. The Green Party has become a worldwide
movement. Even in the United States a growing number of citizen support “green” politics.
Correct the following sentence.

The following paragraph contains some run-on sentences. Correct each run-on sentence
so that the paragraph is grammatically correct.
When European settlers came to the Americas, they discovered that the native inhabitants
had a rich knowledge of medicine. Natives used the leaves of certain plants, or the bark of
particular trees to cure ailments common to their region some plants contain chemicals that will
poison people or animals and these chemicals are part of the plants’ defense systems. However, if
someone is sick, those plant defenses can help the person back to health for example, if someone
has a heart condition in which his or her heart beats too fast, doctors might use a chemical from a
plant to slow the heart down; much of modern medicine is based on these botanical principles
