Concurrent Credit Requirements

 FHSU Concurrent Credit Eligibility Requirements

◦ To enroll in FHSU concurrent credit classes, EXCEPT College Algebra, a student must meet ONE of the following:

◦ ACT Composite Score of 21

◦ Combined verbal & mathematical score on the SAT Reasoning Test of at least 1000

◦ A Selection Index score on the PSAT/NMSQT of at least 150

◦ A STAR Reading score in the 50 th percentile or better

◦ A composite score of at least 21 on the PLAN test

◦ To enroll in College Algebra at FHSU, as student must:

1) Have scores on the ACT math subtest and the ACT science subtest that combine for a total of 40 or higher, and have at least an 18 on both subtests;

2) OR have a score of at least 15 on the FHSU math placement exam.

 Different scores required depending on which college is sponsoring class

Military Academies

A Military Academy education is all expense paid and is valued well over

$300,000.

Military Academies include:

◦ U.S. Air Force Academy

◦ U.S. Naval Academy

◦ U.S. Military Academy (West Point)

◦ U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, NY).

Junior year is the time to consider them and begin preliminary application process in spring.

Mid-September of senior year is often the deadline for Congressional

Nomination Applications.

ROTC

 It is different from a military academy because students can attend any university that offers ROTC.

 Often can receive ROTC scholarship money

 Graduate as a second lieutenant

 Reps will be here at College Career Planning Conference

College Admissions Process Class of 2017

Qualified Admissions Requirements

◦ Earn 2.0 or above in QA Curriculum, and

◦ ACT Score of 21, or SAT Score of 980, or

◦ Rank in top third of class

◦ And, earn a 2.0 or above in any Concurrent Credit Courses, if applicable

Qualified Admissions Requirements for KU

◦ Earn 2.0 or above in QA Curriculum, and

◦ 3.25+ overall GPA and 21+ ACT (980+SAT), or

◦ 3.0+ overall GPA and 24+ ACT (1090+ SAT)

◦ And, earn a 2.0 or above in any Concurrent Credit Courses, if applicable.
