AP Chemistry Syllabus Summer Work 2015 Instructor Information Instructor Email Office Location Mr. Markic chemarkic@gmail.com www.imarkic.weebly.com General Information Description I know that the last thing that makes for a lazy and happy summer is summer homework, but there’s just no way around this. Still, I want you to enjoy the summer months as best you can and know that I’m limiting what I ask you to do a minimum. Expectations and Goals Familiarize yourself as much as possible with the AP Chemistry course. All of my work can be found on my personal website (www.imarkic.weebly.com). Part of your summer work serves two purposes. First, it helps you review the concepts from your first year chemistry class, and second, it gets you in the “mode” of how your homework will be set up for the entire school year. Your summer work will be review of Regents Chemistry work, but the assigned PROBLEMS (for summer work and for the rest of the year) need to be worked on and written in your pre-typed worksheets and notes packet. All of the power points, notes, review, and worksheets can be found on my website. Just click on the AP Chemistry tab. The problems are not for a grade, but I will expect you to be prepared to take a test over this material sometime during the second week of the school year after briefly reviewing the material in class and will be built upon with the upcoming chapters. I have given you my personal email, and I am readily available to help out in case you have questions. Wishing you all the best for a good year.
