THE APPENDIX
1. Read about your building from the chapter.
2. Find a color picture of the exterior and one of the interior. Find a close
up picture of the interior walls that the important parts of an Islamic
Mosque. Put them on a Word document. Label them Image 1 and Image
2. Put the Title of image, web site or book, page number directly
underneath the image.
3. Find a floor plan. Apply this to the same page. Call this Image 3. Identify it
and its resource directly underneath the image.
4. Put all of these images on a single sheet of paper and call it your
Appendix.

THE RESEARCH
1. Now write 2 page research about the building, exterior and interior.
Tell about the location, construction, special parts that make it a
mosque, who had it built, the materials used on the exterior and
interior, and the techniques used. Focus most of the research on the
interior decoration, the format of the building and its history. Type
everything. PUT IT IN YOUR OWN WORDS. Use internal citation
within the paper. (Jones,p.4).
2. The research part of the paper should be approximately 2 PAGES. The
pictures, of the exterior and interior go in the Appendix at the back of
the paper and before the Works Cited in MLA format.
3. You must use YOUR text and 2 other sources for this paper. The
information about the resources used must be at the back of the paper
in a section marked Works Cited.
4. Due in print format, in class the day we come back from Holiday Break,
Jan. 5, 2015. There will be no extensions.
