Peter Pan All children grow up, except one, and his name is Peter Pan. He is a boy who decided he never wanted to grow up so he ran far far away to a place called Never Land. Every night Wendy would tell her younger brothers Michael and John stories about Peter Pan and his adventures fighting pirates and playing with Indians. Peter Pan and his friend Tinkerbelle, a fairy, would often listen to Wendy’s stories from outside their window. One night Wendy had to tell her brothers that she could no longer tell them bedtime stories. Her parents had decided it was time for her to grow up. As Wendy was telling her brothers this would be their last bedtime story, Peter Pan burst through the window. “Come on Wendy, John and Michael. I’m going to take you to Never Land where you never have to grow up!” said Peter. “But how will we get there?” asked Wendy. “ We will we fly of course!” Peter said. “It’s the second star to the right, straight on till morning.” So Tinkerbelle sprinkled fairy dust on them. Peter told them to think of a happy thought and they flew all the way to Never Land. They dipped and soared all through the night sky until at last they were flying over Never Land. Wendy looked down from high in the sky and saw far below “Oh look! It’s mermaid lagoon!” She said, “And the Indian camp and Captain Hook’s pirate ship.” John couldn’t wait to fight real pirates. Peter Pan took Wendy, John and Michael to his secret hideout under a hollow tree. This secret hideout was where peters friends the lost boys lived. “Look ! I’ve brought someone to be our mother.” Peter said. “She’s Wendy and she tells great stories. “ John and Michael didn’t want to hear stories. They wanted to get into sword fights with pirates, make friends with the Indians or even go hunting with the lost boys. “I know” said Peter Pan, “let’s visit the Indian camp.” Usually the Indians playfully captured the lost boys. So they headed over to the camp but when the got there they found out that the Indian chief was in no mood to play. His daughter, the princess Tiger Lily had been captured by Captain Hook. “This is my plan” said Captain Hook, “You tell me where the hiding place of Peter Pan is or I will leave you on this rock to drown!” But Tiger Lily refused to tell Captain Hook. Flying to the rescue Peter Pan jumped on Captain Hooks back and push him into the sea. He then picked up Tiger Lily and flew her back to the Indian camp. Captain hook was furious. Blast that Peter Pan Captain Hook thought to himself. I’ll trap him if it’s the last thing I do. Ahhh I have an idea, I’ll trap those brats he calls friends and keep them on my ship, and then he will have to come to me. While Peter Pan was away Captain Hook captured Wendy Michael and John. He tied them to the mast of the ship while he told them their fate- “Join me and become pirates, or walk the plank and fall, splash, into the sea and drown. Wendy proudly shook her head, “We will never become pirates, Peter pan will come and save us!” she said. Captain Hook sneered at Wendy, “So you think Peter Pan will save you? He said, ‘well then you will be first to walk the plank! Wendy started to walk the plank but the moment she stepped off, Peter Pan swooped and flew in to save her. Captain hook was furious! “You won’t fight me like a real man! Captain Hook yelled to Peter Pan. “You always fly away like a coward.” No one calls peter pan a coward. “I’ll fight you and with one hand behind my back you codfish!” Peter Pan yelled. Peter Pan grabbed a sword and landed on the deck of the ship. The two fought back and forth, up and down the ship until Peter Pan finally got the upper hand. “Admit it” Peter said, “You are a codfish!” “You win Pan” Captain Hook said. Peter pan then chased Captain Hook off the boat. “Now I’m captain of the ship” Peter Pan crowed, “Where shall we sail?” But Wendy began to feel homesick. “Peter” she said, “I think it’s time John, Michael and I went home. Our parents will probably be missing us.” “We will fly you back in the ship then” Peter said “fill it with fairy dust! Raise the anchor.” Tinkerbelle flitted around the ship sprinkling fairy dust all over. The pirate ship rose out of the water and took to the sky. After John, Michael and Wendy were safety back at home they watched from their bedroom window as the pirate ship sailed silently away back to never land. Peter and the lost boys waved goodbye. “They aren’t ready to grow up yet” Wendy explained to her brothers. Wendy settled into bed and smiled. She would never forget Peter Pan and the wonderful adventures they all had in Never Land. The End.
