• A pronoun is a word that takes
the place of one or more nouns.
• The most frequently used
pronouns are called personal
pronouns.
• Personal pronouns are used to
refer to people or things.
•
A subject pronoun is a personal pronoun in
the nominative case. It is used as a
subject. Example: I will read that fable.
(I is the subject pronoun.)
• An object pronoun is a personal pronoun in
the objective case. It is used as the
direct or indirect object of a verb.
Example: Jesse told me about the story.
(Me is the object pronoun.)

too weak to break the bundle.
