YOUTH CLUBHOUSE PROJECT DIRECTOR
Status:
Employee of the Partnership for Ontario County, Inc.
Reports to:
Executive Director of The Partnership for Ontario County, Inc.
Function:
The Youth Clubhouse Project Director is responsible for managing and coordinating the
functions outlined in the OASAS grant awarded to the Partnership. As of part of these
functions, the Director will coordinate and participate also in the Clubhouse Executive Team
and Clubhouse Advisory Teams at each Clubhouse and ensure coordination and collaboration
with the Clubhouse agency partners. The Project Director is responsible for completing
vouchers and reports on time and consistent with format and requirements of OASAS. This
position is grant funded from April 1, 2016 – March 31, 2017 contingent on performance and
available funding. The position of Youth Clubhouse Project Director is 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensures a positive relationship with and creates a cohesive and positive team with
OASAS, the Clubhouses, the Clubhouse partners, the families and youth we serve and
the community
2. Participates as a Partnership team member and has a cooperative and supportive
relationship within the Partnership.
3. Communicates effectively with the state level evaluators and coordinators.
4. Plans and oversees the administration of designated Youth Clubhouse programs,
budgets, schedules, record keeping, implementation and evaluation of activities.
5. Pays particular attention to the requirements of OASAS and ensures all requirements
are met timely and in the required format of the grant.
6. Attends all mandated trainings as requested by the Partnership, state and federal
project staff.
7. Assists with orientation, evaluation and in-service training of program staff (if
requested) and volunteers as well as recruiting new volunteers for programs.
8. Increases the visibility of the Youth Clubhouses collaborating with the Partnership
Marketing Committee and using media to post schedules, announcements of upcoming
events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising
and promotion through mailings, fliers, and media release.
9. May oversee special programs and/or events, and/or participate in the implementation
of other activities as necessary.
10. May consult with participants and families concerning member and site issues.
11. Ensures the ongoing evaluation of the program effectiveness and implements revisions
or corrective actions in program implementation in cooperation with the Partnership,
the Clubhouse Executive and Advisory teams as necessary.
12. Develops data collection system protocols to ensure data is available for monthly
reports as requested by OASAS.
Qualifications for CLUBHOUSE Project Director:
1. Bachelor’s Degree Required. A minimum three years of work experience in Youth
Development. Master’s Preferred.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer skills to include
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and database experience to collate data and
reports. Familiarity and comfort with reporting outcomes in web-based systems.
3. Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
4. Must be highly team oriented with experience in managing programs and coalitions, or
similar non-profit teams.
5. Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
6. Able to identify and has familiarity with community leaders and resources.
7. Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
8. The ability to travel among locations and attend meetings outside of regular operating
hours. Due to the nature of this position, flexibility in hours is required.
9. Some weekend work may be necessary.
10. Proven ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills.
11. Ensures confidentiality and privacy is maintained with respect to all communication and
records, unless exempted by law.
12. Demonstrates the skills necessary for an appreciation of cultural and linguistic diversity.
Salary: $25,000.00 annually. Resume and 3 references required.
