Buddhism: Siddhartha Gautama, Four Noble Truths, Eight-Fold Path, Nirvana, Dalai Lama
Objectives:
1. Explain the purposes of religion and analyze the reasons for studying religion
2. Identify basic characteristics of each religion and define vocabulary and key terms.
3. Identify and describe the important figures, locations, texts, beliefs, and rituals of each
religion.
4. Summarize the key teachings and worldview of each religion
5. Identify on a map where Hinduism and Buddhism originated and where they exist today.
