 Advance sound, scientific-based water-related standards embracing today’s
technologies
 Advocate fair trade practices and eliminate barriers to trade
 Defend against restrictive federal and state policies affecting commerce

treatment technologies by regulators and users
 Encourage full-cost-of-service rates and other sustainable water infrastructure
financing mechanisms, including state revolving funds and private activity bonds

objectives and protect the members’ interests, through
formal Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
