Job Summary This position is primarily responsible for client development and management, and leading custom market research study projects on behalf of organizations in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industry; this includes primary market research utilized for strategic planning purposes. This position works closely with clients, project directors and project managers in all phases of market research, including qualitative research, such as focus groups and ethnographic research, and quantitative research, such as online and telephone studies by performing the following duties. Job Responsibilities Designs and conducts qualitative and quantitative market research projects for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients Works directly with clients to understand their information and business needs 1 of 3 Cultivates and extends existing client relationships, including business development activities Becomes a trusted advisor, knowledge expert and critical client contact. Drives facts to findings and develops a significant number of conclusions and implications Contributes strategic thinking and actionable client solutions, including creating strategies for clients to be reviewed and supported by Senior Executives Crafts proposals, including research objectives, scope and budgets Develops and designs qualitative and quantitative market research studies for clients including construction of questionnaires and discussion guides Develops insights into the data findings, helps relate data findings to general research objectives and business issues raised by the client. Creates logical, clear final deliverables and obtains timely review of deliverables by Senior Advisors Delivers client-ready reports with findings, implications, opportunities and recommendations Creates analytical plan for data Manages projects including budget responsibility Evaluates recruiting and data integrity and develops appropriate validity checks Moderates own interviews with physicians, other medical professionals, patients and payers in both one-on-one and focus group settings when necessary Develops and trains Strategists to become Senior Strategists Maintains and increases professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal internal company networks as well as external networks 2 of 3 Job Requirements Master's degree or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency with Internet Software; Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Presentation Software (PowerPoint) and Electronic Mail Software (Outlook). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to gain the trust of Clients Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
