Polycom’s Siren 14 has now been embraced by the ITUT standards body as the framework for G.722.1 Annex C
Per ITU testing, G.722.1C scored better than MPEG-4 in
all three test experiments including testing for:

• Reverberant Noisy Speech

G.722.1C produces better audio than MPEG-4, while
using less bandwidth in a call and far less compute

Two ways to initiate a video call:
• Begin as a voice-only call
– When voice-only call is initiated between (2) VTXs, the VTX will intelligently
prompt end user to add video
– If the users agree, the two VTX systems will automatically convert the voice-only
call to a video call
• Initiate a video call from the dialing key pad
– Dial the IP or ISDN address of the far end video participant
– Press the “Video Call” button
