INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Genus plc, a global leader in bovine and porcine genetics, is currently seeking a highly motivated
professional for the position of Infrastructure Support Technician, based in our ABS Global office in
DeForest, WI.
The ideal candidate will install and maintain Windows Server, VMware ESX/vSphere and Linux Redhat.
Troubleshoot and coordinate service for Dell Server Hardware. Provide AntiVirus/Patch management
using McAfee epo/WSUS. The Junior Infrastructure Support Technician will also administer Active
Directory in a multi-site environment, MicroSoft Exchange, Citrix Presentation Server/Xen App,
Networking: TCP/IP, Wireless, Cisco Routers/Switches/ASAs, MS Lync, LifeSize Video Conferencing and
Mobile Device Management. Additionally, responsible for the management of Intranet platforms,
Backup Exec and SAN – EMC storage solutions for disaster recovery.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant knowledge and experience is required for the foundation to assist
internal users and other team members. An Associate or Bachelor degree in computers is preferred.
Existing knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Linux, server hardware and IT
security required.
The ability to work well with others and to learn through the guidance of colleagues, research, and
training is essential. Excellent communication and technical documentation skills, along with a
methodical approach to troubleshooting is a must. Project planning, multi-tasking, prioritisation,
organisation, and time management skills, along with the ability to operate effectively as part of a global
technical team and in support of a remote data center and offices will ensure success.
