
The Instructional Services Department is committed to designing and
facilitating dynamic learning experiences. Teaches credit-bearing
information literacy courses face-to-face and online through Blackboard as
well as developing and delivering course-specific instruction sessions. Also
participates in campus and community outreach activities, such as new
student orientation, and liaise with target populations. Expected to conduct
ongoing assessments of student learning and contribute to departmental
assessment projects. Will create and maintain web guides, tutorials, and
digital learning objects. Provide reference services. Must have strong
interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively orally and in
writing and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

REQUIRED






Earned master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library school or program by start
date
At least 2 years of experience teaching in an academic library setting
Experience with course management systems
Experience with screen capture and/or video-editing software and creating digital
learning objects, tutorials, or modules
Experience providing reference service
PREFERRED:



Experience teaching credit-bearing information literacy courses
Experience developing credit-bearing information literacy modules or courses
Experience with classroom assessment techniques
