Dual Enrollment: ACCEL
• Must be accepted to college (UNG)
– At least 16 years of age
– A 3.25 GPA on required core classes
– You must present minimum SAT score of 970
combined critical reading and math with a
minimum of 480 critical reading and 440 math, or
ACT composite of 20 with minimum scores of 20
English and 18 math.
– Part time or full time
See Mrs. Wigley at least once a semester.
Dual Enrollment: MOWR
You must be accepted to the college. This is a full time program.
– You must be at least 16
– You must be on track.
– You must be entering the 11th or 12th grade in a Georgia public high
school.
– You must have completed your prior school year (two consecutive
semesters) in a Georgia public high school.
– 3.5 or better GPA in your Required High School Curriculum (RHSC)
coursework.
– Minimum SAT scores of 530 critical reading and 530 math, or
ACT scores of 23 English and 22 math.

HOPE Rigor Requirements
Students graduating from high school on or after May 1, 2017, must receive at least four credits in
courses from the categories listed below, prior to graduating from high school to be eligible for
HOPE.

1) Advanced math, such as Advanced algebra and trigonometry, math III, or an
equivalent or higher course
2) Advanced science, such as chemistry, physics, biology II, or an equivalent or
higher course;
3) Advanced Placement courses in core subjects (English, math, science, social
studies, and foreign language);
4) International Baccalaureate courses in core subjects (English, math, science,
social studies and foreign language);
5)Dual credit courses in Core subjects taken during Dual Credit Enrollment at an
Eligible Postsecondary Institution;
6) Courses taken at a unit of the University System of Georgia in core subjects
(English, math, science, social studies and foreign language) where such courses
are not remedial and developmental courses; or
7) Advanced foreign language courses.
HOPE Grant
• Georgia's HOPE Grant (a separate program from
the HOPE Scholarship) is available to Georgia
residents who are working towards a certificate
or diploma at an eligible college or university in
Georgia.
• Full-time enrollment is not required and students
are not required to graduate from high school
with a specific GPA, however, they are required to
have a postsecondary cumulative 2.0 GPA, at
certain checkpoints, in order to maintain
eligibility.

The NCAA Eligibility Center has
designed a website for the student-athlete.
To register with the NCAA Eligibility Center, go
online to www.eligibilitycenter.org and click
the link to enter as an NCAA College-Bound
Student-Athlete.
Division I
• Complete 16 required core courses
• Have a minimum core-course grade-point
average of 2.300
• Meet the sliding scale of grade-point average
and ACT/SAT score; and
• Graduate from high school.

Division II
• Graduate from high school
• Complete the 16 core courses required by
NCAA
• Earn a 2.000 grade-point average or better in
your core courses
• Earn a combined SAT score of 820 or an ACT
sum score of 68

PSAT
• Qualifying exam if taken as a Junior for National
Merit Scholar Program.
• Juniors must register and pay to take the PSAT.
• The PSAT will be given at NFHS on Wed., Oct. 14th.
• Registration will take place at school in early
September.
